Capitol Theater marquee in Maryville showcases the 2015 United Way Masquerade Ball.

On Friday, Oct. 23, Maryville-based Vanquish Worldwide was honored to assist the United Way of Blount County by sponsoring their 2015 Masquerade Ball at the Capitol Theatre in Downtown Maryville.  Vanquish is a proud sponsor and supporting member of the Blount County United Way, a leading charitable and community-oriented non-profit organization.  Vanquish Chief Financial Officer Anna Love and Marketing Manager Dawn White served as leading committee members for the ball, which raised over $10,000 toward annual fundraising efforts.

Earlier this year, many of Vanquish’s management staff and employees attended the United Way’s fundraising campaign kick-off breakfast.  “We have a big responsibility to our community,” 2015 Campaign Chairman Bill Eanes said as he announced United Way’s 2015 Campaign Goal to raise $2.02 million.  These contributions ensure that “more kids will have a safe place to go after school, more families will have a warm meal and a warm bed, and more seniors will have care in their homes.” One in three people receive assistance from United Way and their 29 partnering community agencies amounting to 50,000 Blount County residents each year.  The annual local United Way campaign runs through November 20.

Vanquish’s support of the 2015 Blount County United Way Campaign also includes; providing pick-up and delivery of canned food which brought in 28,514 pounds of food for local food pantries, the United Way Public Service Luncheon known as “Chicken at the Church” which raised $27,000 to support local programs in the areas of health, education and self-sufficiency, the loaned executive program with our Chief Financial Officer Anna Love’s project support, and ongoing support to the Boys and Girls Club as well as Blount County Habitat for Humanity.

header_logoThe United Way of Blount County is advancing the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all.  We all win when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable and when people have good health.  That’s why United Way is focused on the building blocks for a better life by supporting programs that help kids succeed, strengthen and support families, promote self-sufficiency, improve people’s health and protect community well-being. It’s these building blocks that Vanquish Worldwide believes in and supports year round.
